Yeah this guy who was my best friend at primary school contacted me on facebook and the lucky effer is married to this well hot chick, and is rich in sales or something, but he now lives in SCOTLAND so I'm not too jealous about that bit LOL.

Well, look at this way - getting married is overrated, as I know *way too many* people that have their lives ruined via divorce. Those who have it all can and do lose everything because wifey "isn't happy." Buying a house is fun, until you have to deal with all the crap that you have to do to keep up with it - it's a lotta work...lol. Oh, considering Australia is having its biggest housing bubble of all time, I don't think now is a very good time to buy a home. Millions of people were in a world of hurt when the US housing bubble popped - we're still recovering from that horrible fiasco. And as for a better job, I'd kill for an easy job like you have for $20 an hour...that'd be sweet, sweet, sweet. I've been out of the workforce so long that I doubt anyone will want to hire me for as long I'll live, so I have to make do with what I can, and the money is tight more often than it's not.
Oh well, I've got my sights set on Upper Michigan, it feels like home to me already. Lots of cold and snow, super-nice people, not much heat in summer and I'll be able to have a gignormous workshop to boot - that's gonna make for one a very happy camper.

My school mates aren't quite at that point since we're still all roughly between 21-23 years old, but I am aware of many who have already graduated and have good jobs. I'm not too far behind since I'm graduating college this year, but I've been feeling bitter and stressed about my current situation. Not a good trait I've been exhibiting recently.
I reached a breaking point at work this weekend and threatened to quit. I'm meeting with the manager this week to discuss a wage increase. Or he'll fire my ass. We'll see. Hopefully this time next year I'll be in a better position, but who knows with this economy. Ultimately it comes down to personal initiative and motivation to change your circumstances.
Well, it's taken 4 days but I've finally visited the toilet again. I was beginning to worry, I reckon my cross country run did the trick!
