Have to say it's funny when we hit that time of year when some of the more obtuse storm starved weather enthusiasts on various weather forums start getting over excited about the slightest bit of convection, and we get idiots reporting innocuous light showers as "Supercells" and god knows what else, like this little gem.
Viewing a thread - Essex "supercell" 1.4.10 not April fools (http://www.ukweatherworld.co.uk/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=36077&posts=17 - broken link)
Didn't even produce any lightning/thunder, and a radar echo that doesn't go past green, not to mention none of the requirements such as speed/direction wind shear in place for supercells. Get real! Good to laugh at these idiots though.
Not bad today - intermittent clouds and sun - temp feels like low 50's.
So nice to come home from a shopping trip in town and have a cuppa and a biscuit (no, not that kind of biscuit).
