I've always thought of Maryland as a place where they have 4 seasons but the seasons are divided equally.

I think MD's climate is very similar to Kentucky......4 seasons but they are divided equally. In fact, most of MD probably has longer summer than they do winters.

I'll take a stab at NE Wisconsin:

Winter: Dec - March
Spring: April - May
Summer: June - August
Fall: Sept. - Nov.

It varies March could be nice and springlike some years, Nov. could go with Dec. sometimes for winter, June might go for Spring because it really isn't warm like summer, etc. The way I see it, definitely isn't an even 25% per season, and all bets are off alot because of the lake.
