It was still in the mid 70s at Midnight around Chicagoland

This is pretty remarkable. Check on the LOW temp this morning in Chicago. A 73 degree MINIMUM temperature at Midway airport this morning. Wow. We'll see if it doesn't fall below that by the end of the 24 hour period tonight but geez this morning's low is higher than the average high temp.

Upper 70s near the lake to mid 80s inland today for the Chicago Marathon. Similar, even warmer condition occurred during the Chicago Marathon back in 2007.

Mid 70s to low 80s tomorrow with severe weather in the forecast especially late afternoon and evening

Latest GFS run showing the torch party is ending by next weekend

Cloudy and 60s again. No complaints. I think we had only 1 day of sun in past 5 days?

Bulk of the rain staying off shore. Some rain heading into Long Island right now. And I see a spin off North Carolina. Low pressure.

He doesn't like long bouts of cold either, he says he'd like to live in Cuba because it's summers are more consistently rainy

That and better chances of canes and the offshore fishing is better south of Cuba in 500 to 1200ft. Our grouper fishing is shot in the gulf and looks like a long term shut down for grouper fishing is coming. Alaska with it's insane amount of skeeters and bugs would drive me crazy and is the last place i would wanna live.
