High temps are supposed to drop off down to lower 80s then back to upper 80s. The Panhndle will see temps drop down into the 50s in the morning and 70s in the day, lucky them. They get the better weather of this state.

Good, hoping to get some good use out of my winter gear outdoors in the coldest area of the Midwest. Looking forward to subzero temperatures with several feet of snow on the ground.

It’ll be record cold, too dangerous for you to enjoy. Probably like -150 or colder.

Don't be so sure. The last major La Nina event in Europe saw an extremely cold December

Also look what's happening over Siberia which has seen a blow torch for several months now. Winter is off to a strong start there.

Lol last winter was record breaking for Northern Europe. I don't think it can get any warmer this year.

Right now the forecasts for Europe are still mixed. One one hand we have a strong La Nina, which could bring an early start to winter and a very cold November-December and cold shots all throughout the season On the other hand models don't show much blocking in the northern Atlantic, which means a warmer westerly flow.

You won't be seeing any 50's were you are or where i am 159 miles to the north of you this month and maybe not all winter. And be ready for 9 super dry months ahead including this month. We no longer have falls anymore dorthy. We will not see a 50 anything in Oct in our lifetimes ever again.

Lol you are such a joke
I would be surprised if my high temperature fails to cross 0 F. Last time that happened was 2014.

I will only see 70+ sometime in April after this.
Chilly weekend coming up, but I’m a bit skeptical about the post from Chicago George. I don’t see highs in the 30’s anywhere in the southern Great Lakes region.

Maybe it depends who wins out the Euro or the GFS. Euro is definitely milder even warm on the east coast
