Got down to 44F the past two mornings and 41F in the forecast for tonight. Yesterday it failed to reach 60F (high of 59F) and was breezy so felt a bit chilly. Got up to the mid 60's today.

The next few days look nice. Low of 37F Monday night so maybe could see some frost.

We're looking to finish October with a mean of 80.9°F, which will be 3.2°F above average and will tie October 1987 as our 4th warmest October on record

We had our first frost of the season this morning for three NYC stations (KNYC, KLGA, KJFK). Feels so great!

And Long Island (KISP, KHWV) had its first 20s of the season. KFOK on the east end almost got into the teens!

2nd week of November looks very warm for eastern US. I'll be in the upper 70s to near 80 F and Cambium's place up in Connecticut will be in the 60s.

I take it the west Atlantic ridge is coming back?
Chicagogeorge, what are the models saying?

Edit: GFS has a hurricane hitting the upper west coast of Florida in 11 days. LMAO!

I would give anything if i could get a cane. I say the chances are 1 million to 1 i get a drop of rain from any tropical system. But we need rain very bad since i am under 25" total for the year so i say bring a Cat 2 anytime. Better yet slow it down and stall it just west of me.

Only in the 40’s but bright blue skies and no wind . Been a long time since this happened. Usually our cold comes with wind and overcast skies.
