The snow tonight is looking weaker across central Indiana. NWS has lowered their prediction total from 1-1.5 inches for us on the north side to .5-1 inch now. Lower levels are looking drier than originally thought and the timeframe of the snow is pretty short, just a few hours. And by the time the temperature is expected to drop below freezing, the snow will be winding down.
Because I hate seeing longitudes west of me getting into the holiday spirit weatherwise. Savannah (32 latitude north) may have a high of 80 F on Tuesday. Meanwhile Houston (at latitude 29 north) might see an entire week with full sun and highs only in the 50s/60s. I get jealous when longitudes west of me see better autumns.
Ah, wasn't aware that you were a fan of the cooler weather.
But it seems that troughs tend to dig west before they dig east. Upper lows are quite frequent around the Baja during fall/spring. You'll get your turn soon.
We got a brief dusting around 7 this morning but since then it's just been flurrying. Some of the original snow melted because it was above freezing in the morning. But wind chills have been in the 10s since 11, which is impressive for this time of year.
2:15-6:15pmEST radar loop with metars. Here comes the rain. Snow ending in OKC . Been snowing in Missouri all day...and now snowing across Illinois. Chicago missing the snow...for now.
Heat and more heat pete. It was another record hot day in my area with 90's inland. This Nov will shatter the record books along with Feb, Sept and Oct of this year. If people can't wake up and see the huge ramp up in heating in the FL area then i just don't know what to type. 7 years of this BS and each year gets worse.
