So I assume every single time it’s above normal in the areas you pay attention to, you change your mind about the reality of global warming? Or does that only work when there’s below normal temps in those specific areas.

Of course in reality it’s still global averages that matter, not passing weather in any specific location.

It's nothing out of the norm my man. Since i started keeping records in the late 70's every place has had xtreme months of hot or cold. I have seen 40's in May, 30's Apr and 50,s in June. But the long term warm up is for real, for my area anyways.

Like i said jed, i have a very narrrow widow of weather i like. I LIKE CHANGE! But ya, a few days of highs in the 40's and 50's gets to me just like months of no rain and hot temps. I could never live north of Ocala FL as it would be too cold for me. I remember Jan 1ST of 2010 when we were stuck with highs in the 50's and 40's for three months that i had enough. I remember being forced into job core back in March of 1983 in Mammoth cave KN , this was late March and early Apr, and it was highs in the 40's and lows in the 20's the two weeks i was stuck there and no sun. I would have killed myself and made sure i was sent home fast.

I want big swings in the winter with warm temps, ball busters fronts that bring 30kn winds and 4" of rain and then lows in the 20's and repete every 3 to 5 days.

I can agree that it is global averages that are a more holistic view of the planets health, however, I think that just because the world as a whole is getting warmer, that doesn’t mean that there won’t be any more unusually cold and snowy winters thrown in there(even if they too are getting warmer than they used to be), the winters of 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 clearly illustrate this reality that cold and snowy winters can still happen, even in a warmer world.
