Took me 2 minutes... picked random state of mississippi with random station and sure enough a station with -20... now to find some higher stations. Aj i know you think im overreacting but not lieing about how cold it has been statistically.

The biggest departure I see there is 20F lol. Am I missing something?
It hasn't been "cold", it's been significantly below normal yes but by the end if the month it will be close to average, you're acting like the south just saw a once-in-a-century mid-winter cold blast.

I am, admittedly so... cold is a subjective term... some morning were in the 40s in the viewing area and even as far south as alabama . That is chilly... however, when i use cold i mean it objectively, relative to averages. Greensboro for instance was about -10, about -8 or 9 now . Thats once in a lifetime record cold there. Also for a good few days we were coming close to , breaking and tying record lows in the state... raleigh is not as below as places further south west of here though, we can reach average but most other places need a big warm up, the forecast shows average temps so good luck with that.
As i said, most of south having coldest first half of September ever... NYC running warmer than good portion of these places... that's how bad it is. change the date to September 15th and the period to month to date. Also change variable to mean temps.
