Stubborn cloud cover has hung around for the 2nd day in a row, likely related to the major wind and rain storm out east(yes Cambium I am talking about people like you and Nei), looks like the cloud deck is finally eroding away in Western Indiana, so Indianapolis still has a chance of hitting or going above 40 Degrees today, tonight could well bring the end of the 2017 growing season(at least in areas where it hasn’t ended by now), looks like the coldest areas could see a hard freeze tonight and maybe again Monday night; the next best chance of precipitation for Indianapolis will be Tuesday night and Wednesday,
Then the Indianapolis area could see an Indian summer(albeit a weak one)style weather pattern for the next week or two

^^^^^^

Wow, are the trees really already bare in western NC Cambium???? If so, then the trees there are further into dormancy than the trees are in the Indianapolis area(TWC says that fall foliage is still at peak in Indiana as of the 27th of October), not to mention the fact that many if not most trees in the Indianapolis area are still loaded with colorful leaves as of even today, at the rate things are changing in Central Indiana, people will be out with leaf blowers and rakes maybe well into November

So far in October 2017,

The lowest temperature in Göle was -7.4℃.

The lowest temperature in Ardahan was -3.7℃.

It looks like October will be over this way.

In the earliest days of November, a low of -9℃ is expected in Göle and a low of -6℃ is expected in Ardahan.

Göle has colder lows throughout the year. I am thinking of going to Göle in January 2018. I want to visit the town in January because of its climate.

Currently here, in Aurora, ME 57F, Dew Point 50F, Winds NNE, 7MPH...There is a High Wind Warning for our area from 2:00am Tomorrow until 2:00pm
Winds SSE, 30MPH with Gusts up to 75MPH.....
Looks like a Big Blow is on it's way up the Coast and is aiming at us! So, we spent some time bringing in our lawn chairs, tables, gardening tools, wheelbarrow and the Bird Feeders (and anything else we could think of that might become a missle in the storm)..
Closing down the day, as the inky darkness envelopes the Birch Meadows and Debussy's Claire de Lune, plays softly in the backgound (the extended version)... It's wind-down time...sweet reflections of the day and weekend...Until sleep...
Sweet Dreams and stay safe, friends!!!

Hurricane wind gusts coming on the coast? via NWS Boston discussion

Advertising 50-60 mph SE gusts across the interior, 60 to 70 for the
coastal plain and coastline, with the possibility of 70+ mph gusts
along the immediate coast and across the islands (hurricane-force).

Anticipating widespread tree damage lending to scattered to numerous
power outages, likely some structural damage occurring. Keeping in
mind fully leafed trees.

Impressive steady rains here. Over 2" now and look at all that moisture still pushing in! Damn. I might end up with 4"+?
