Yeah, seems like the core of the heat was over you plus didnt have Irma, Harvey and Jose clouds I guess. All these tropical storms making nights hot here. Lol
But now that core is shifting east. Maria has no chance hitting us...maybe. lol
I have a feeling the jet stream is going to be very wavy from this point on into the winter which is very La Nina-like..... Days of well above normal to days well below normal. Only this is we have been very very dry

Tomorrow maybe mid 90s
Gees at the 90s again. Only widespread 80s in Northeast even for Mid Atlantic with pocket 90s here and there.
I like your Wednesday...its coming. Wont be here till Friday.
Here's Euro map for Next week Friday afternoon. There's the front coming across. Clearing Kentucky by then, entering WV, PA, NY. The Chill coming down behind it. Big storm in Canada with cold air to the West of it?
Some NWS offices "starting" to mention this change coming.. Enjoy next 7 days. I like how they are so lax about it. "possibly" below normal. lol. Lets come back to this post.

A more significant pattern change will arrive by late next week as
the pattern changes across North America, allowing a longwave trough
to become established across the Great Lakes and eventually New
England. This will force temperatures back to normal by late next
week, and possibly even below normal by the following weekend going
into the first few days of October.

The upper level ridge finally starts to break down
by Wednesday as low pressure tracks out of the Plains towards Hudson
Bay. A chance of showers or possibly thunderstorms may accompany the
cold front late Wednesday into Wednesday night. This cold front will
bring an abrupt end to the stretch of well above normal temperatures
that we have been experiencing over the last week or more.
1.52" (38.6 mm) of rain last night - nearly 75% of our month to date total! We're up to 2.14" (54.4 mm) of rain month to date, which is almost right on pace for our monthly average of 3.3" (84 mm).
The warmth has been very nice lately - Friday and Saturday were both 85 (29), and given the forecast, we might have our 90 (32) for the year in meteorological and astronomical fall!
I've never seen a first 90 in late September before in my life. What a truly odd year 2017 has been.
