A thing to consider about Alexandra, is that all temperatures below about -7C/-8C happen with a heavy freezing fog, which acts to prevent temperatures dropping any further. It's summer maximums are also 7C warmer than Coyhaique, despite similar summer rainfall totals.

Areas to the east of Alexandra at only 300m, have still recorded lower temperatures than Coyhaique
1: Neuqúen has both dry and continental influences, but yet it is at 39S and still has colder record low than Alexandra.

2: The reason for Coyhaique have cool summers is the high humidity and the cloudy cover even in summer,Rio Gallegos at 51S and sea level has warmer summer than Coyhaique.

3:I dont know that,I believe if you post some data.

Neuquen stil only manages a 4C greater difference, despite being 550km from the coast, compared to around 80km.

Coyhaique is a lot sunnier in summer than Alexandra, and isn't that much wetter at 165 mm vs Alexandra at 100mm. Alexandra actually has higher humidity and dewpoints than Coyhaique. Dryness only explains part of it, and dryness is due to rainshadow, which is itself an aspect of continental-ness

Ophir, to the NE of Alexandra is at 305m, and has a record low of around -22C.

Closer to the sea, though not right on the coast, there's Richmond, 30.0C Jan, 3.6C Jul for 26.4C difference. It even has relatively wet summers and pretty warm summer nights (17.7C in Feb). It's about 50km from the sea.

Quite impressive. Closest to that I can find For NZ is the Culverden/Dog Stream area(North Canterbury)with a 25.5C from -1C/24.5C and -2C/23.4C and around around 35km from the coast and 650mm of rain

Bahia Blanca in Argentina has around 27C and is right on the coast.

Viedma has 27.7C difference,I guess the greatest for a coastal place here in SH?

The summers nights are relatively cool in contrast to Sydney CBD's though.

Ranfurly is rather impressive.

I wonder what place in Australia has the most extreme temp range.

Doea anybody know how to add this weather station to for example weathersparks? It's a station for our university instead of an airport a little outside of the city

I've found a climate that easily is the most extreme of the actually wet humid continental climates!

Arsenyev some 100 miles north of Vladivostok, the place that shows that Vladivostok of all places has significant maritime moderation

For 44N this climate wilder than Winnipeg is absolutely insane...

Thoughts?

Found a humid continental actual wet climate that is even wilder than Arsenyev, believe it or not.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Komsom...n-Amur#Climate

Five months above 10C, 669 mm of rainfall and the coldest month at -24.7C in mean simultaneously!
