Did it clear up pretty quickly after Hermine went thru?

It got down to 66F here this morning.

Right now it's up to 88F with a dewpoint of 68F and a mostly clear sky.

Looks like a pretty dry heat at first, but dewpoints may reach 70F again by Thursday.
Imo, September is still a summer month

That was my last November living in Miami. (It was also the first time I saw fall foliage, cuz I flew to Atlanta and then Dallas that month) and I remember we had some good cool rainy days in the 50s and 60s. Why is it in South Florida that Thanksgiving lately has been colder than Christmas?

Ideally I would prefer if our November weather (and fall colours) came in October and if our December weather came in November, but overall I love the fall weather here, its loads better than Miami's.

My main problem with Miami wasn't summer heat. Summer SHOULD be hot, and summer is the best time to really be in Miami as its the perfect time for the beach. My problem is that by September, I'm done with hot weather and I'd like a change. But nope, not in South Florida!

I remember one really hot August where I was staying at my aunt's house for a week in Naples, FL and her AC was broken and I was sweating my ass off and I was like daydreaming about it being cooler already and I groaned cuz most people only have to wait a month or two and I had a LONG way to go

High of only 75°F today, together with the lower sun angle, it didn't felt that summery. But not fall-like either. Dropped just below 50°F before sunrise. Forecast is unusual looking

got back just now from the rodeo - left a bit early. actually could have used a light sweatshirt for the occasion. But it wasn't too bad. Mid-60s according to the car thermometer on the way back.
