Woke up with a sore neck. Must have slept in an awkward position.

United Nations said this? Irreversible? Was it irreversible in the past without us? Why is it now? How about we try to predict 2 months into the future better rather than years and decades first? Did the hockey stick warming happen they predicted 10 yrs ago? Lord have Mercy

Maybe one day there'll be a thread on here for a UK snowstorm. What's the point in living so far north if you can't even get a decent snow event.

Anyway, put my Christmas tree up today. I love Christmas, and all the build up and that, but oddly I don't like the actual day when it arrives. It's all a bit of a tiring, hectic rush of a day.

Dear friend, you're quite right! Ok, we had a dramatic snow event in late November, but it was in the central parts of the country avoiding the south alltogether.

The beginning of December doesn't look better either: rain and mild.

I guess it's even worse for you if it's mild, as your winter is much longer than ours, and you genuinely expect some cold and snowy weather. For me, weather like this just seems to drag the season out even more.
But as winter has only just officially started, I'll save most of my moaning for around February

That used to concern me before I took the meningitis vaccine.

I'm actually with you on that. I believe climate is in a constant state of change, naturally. I also believe that the Earth's climate is being influenced by human activity, just look at what happened to the ozone layer. But who can definitively state what will happen in 50-100 years when forecasts beyond a week or so are rarely ever accurate?

I will say that we should be prepared to deal with an evolving climate, the effects can very well be negative, but this country would rather wait until disaster strikes before doing anything.

UK parliament votes in favour of Syrian airstrikes.

Fur a supposedly enlightened bunch of people, we are really very stupid occasionally.

Why is that unenlightened and stupid? I'm unconvinced they'll be effective, but it's stupid it seems non-obvious
