Wow, it looks like you got yourself a deal. Does it come with a motor?

I suppose used cars are fairly inexpensive in the UK, huh? Is leasing a new car popular, or even an option?

Here in Georgia, you'd have to be a fool to lease a car, since you have to pay the same 7% tax as you would buying one outright. And the same 7% applies to used cars as well. :/ (used to be no tax on buying used cars here)

Haha, yes it's a complete car. It has 7 months MOT and full Italian specialist service history.
The guy I bought it off wanted £850 for it, but the car is due a cambelt change which is roughly £500 Inc labour. It'd been up for sale for over a month, so I knew if I made an offer and also mentioned the cambelt, I'd have a chance of a good deal. And so I did!
You can get some real bargains in this country. You just need to know what to look out for with older cars, but as I'm planning on spending some time working on it, I don't really mind if there are a few niggles to sort. Saying that though, it drives like a dream!

I've got a car already for work etc, as does my wife. This is just a toy!

As for leasing, well yeah I'd say it's extremely popular here. There are alot of good deals on new cars for little or no deposit. It means people with modest incomes are able to drive a nice new car for a low monthly payment.

Yes, this Bogwater character is an enigma alright. Someone should get the chaps down at HQ to look into it.

I would do it myself, but have a bus to catch.

Wavehunter? Though this one is always arguing about religion and doesn't post in the CT forums (another candidate is yankeefan93).
