The forecast is extended which decreases the precision and the scale is not detailed. But probably the first wave of cold air coming from Ontario to the south of the state and probably a few degrees below zero in the southern Great Lakes will come. It is an interesting region for being significantly inhabited and it humidity to form ice flakes, there will probably be the first snowfall with lake effect between the states further south (even more is that if the Arctic air mass does not change or be impeded it will be colder than this). Flakes also in the Appalachians

New York Central Park reporting 6.5 inches of snow

This is not only the earliest snow of that amount, it's the most snow ever recorded for a single day in November.

Only two years (1898 and 1938) had more snow, and those were two day events later in the month.

It also means Nov 2018 is already third place for snow for November.
