B) Woodland Hills: hottest summer days, coolest nights year round, large diurnal ranges, guaranteed heat on most summer days but a few frosts every winter. Also bear in mind that the humidity is low and the same summer days that hit 100 F at 3PM can be at 60 F at both midnight and 8AM.
Santa Monica - it's too monotonous for my liking but quite comfortable overall. Woodland Hills is way too hot in the summer for me, even with those cool nights.
Santa Monica. It's boring in the sense of variability, but the profound cooling effect of the ocean is actually very fascinating to me. It's always comfortable.
Santa Monica, it's extremely comfortable. I've never once been uncomfortable while I was in Santa Monica. Inland Los Angeles can be quite stifling at times, the nights are nice year-round through.
Santa Monica ... Hands down.
Boring? Compared to Woodland Hills? There's not a whole lot going on in WH in comparison, not to mention SM's close proximity to LA.
Woodland Hills. I like the warmer and sunnier climate. Yeah it gets hot during the day in the summer (which makes it nice for pools and swimming) but still gets nice and comfy every night. Santa Monica is also excellent but loses a close one.
I don't mind the slightly cooler lows of Woodland because it would be refreshing if anything, plus the evenings will be more than mild enough to sit out late in during summer. Santa Monica has cool boring British summer maximum temperatures which I could do without and is probably rather cloud/fog prone.
