Yup..or rains. I heard fishing is getting banned because of drought conditions there.. Some comparing BC weather lately to 1958
Fishing is banned on Vancouver Island, not in the interior or lower mainland. Campfires are banned provincewide as of July 3rd, though.
June was very dry for most of BC. Penticton actually saw near average precipitation, but only because we got 9 mm from storms on one of the last days of June.
Vancouver and Vancouver Island are completely engulfed in smoke today. The smoke combined with temperatures in the 90s is suffocating. Not sure if Seattle is getting the smoke too.
Yes, the fires in BC affected us too. Today (Sunday) was the 5th consecutive day over 90 which ties a previous record, but 4 more are expected until Thursday.
