than in Nice?! Rather easy to have more than zero.
Not that easy. Most of the world has zero.

Knowing your preferences, I would've thought hilltops would be a no brainer. Isn't the only advantage of valleys for coldies cold air pooling?
I'm rooting for another bust. An additional 6-8" would make for too much snow, we already have 6-8" on the ground.
lol send it over here in Pittsburgh. Only a trace on the ground; the 6-8" of snow from that clipper which evolved into a bust over NYC on the 26th and 27th of Jan pitifully completely melted last weekend.

I'm on top of the smaller terrain around here and I find it oddly warmer than other spots in the near area so I think that's whats making me debate which I like better.
Now if we're talking about 3000' vs Valleys, that's a no brainer. LOL But sometimes 500'+ is warmer than the valley. I'm learning this recently with some OBS's I'm seeing from the local area. I seem to be a couple degrees warmer than spots a tad lower than me, But yeah for snow reasons, hills are preferred.

Future Radar loop from WRF.
I see a donut hole/dry slot over CT & MA Saturday night until the wrap around gets us Sunday morning.
Watch the clipper come down then stop and make the turn Northeast as the coastal storm blows up. The energy to do this = strong winds.
Though we haven't gotten any massive snowfalls this year, all these nickel and dime events has resulted in a snowpack of at least a foot here. Don't think it'll be melting anytime soon.
Poor Boston/Eastern MA. Lets hope the power stays on or they have wood stoves at least.
It's worth mentioning that this storm is much colder than the storms we're used to. It's already 4 below here. Zero is about the coldest it ever gets around Boston and even then those days are rare. Hopefully it stays cold so that the snow stays fluffy, because power outages would cause major problems when it's this cold.
40 people carrying packages from the Mall to their cars in 2 degrees
and 5 people ONLY wore gloves...in Syracuse today...funny observation
of my sister.
Blizzard Warnings are up for coastal CT, Rhode Island and Long Island as well, along with MA, NH, and Maine.
WOW Winds will be wicked blowing the fluff snow around. Expecting 4-8" here!
