Really? These were pretty large and imposing clouds towering well above the mountains. Though this was taken with my cell phone and doesn't capture the scale of it very well.

Typical wintery clouds here would be thick, slate grey overcast.

Sorry, just making a joke out of certain posters we have on here who keep saying that about clouds in oceanic climates that people post, he calls everything wintry for some reason, even if it was on a hot summer's day.
