For one daylight lasts like 20 hours there right now (3:29 AM sunrise and sunset at 11:13 PM). Also, they have extremely dry air with insanely low dew points (yesterday it was 3C during peak heat), which allows the air to heats up more quickly.

Weather History for Eagle, AK | Weather Underground

No doubt 32C in Alaska will feel nothing like 32C in Brazil

Many locations in Alaska have had 99 or a 100F readings before. It gets hot there, unless you are near an ice field or downwind from ice covered mountains. For example, Fairbanks reached 99 in 1919

Barrow was at 79 in 1993

These things happen.

Why would it?

You'd never see 45F temps at the coast and 80F inland here.

Active weather in the southern plains extending into the southeast and lower midwest. Flash flood warnings in Oklahoma and Arkansas. Severe thunderstorm warnings in Arkansas. Tornado watches Louisiana up to Illinois.

Some storms in Mississippi and Alabama. Looks like there's a batch of rain in Minnesota, Northern Illinois, Wisconsin, and Michigan as well.

Colorful map this evening. 6pm temps. 60s on Long Island and coastal CT (sea breeze), 70s out there. 80s out there as well. and 40s on top of Mt Washington.

72° here with a dewpoint of 47°. Awesome.. But I noticed 70s during the day and 70s in evening, night & morning feels much much different for me. Maybe cause I expect it to be cooler other than during the day?

Wow! I didn't see that. I was working outside and noticed it was getting more uncomfortable as the afternoon was moving on. Not bad though but I got bug issues here this year.

Hotter and drier inland. I actually prefer that 80s and drier vs 70s and muggier
