And it does get much drier as well - today does feel a bit Septemberish in this regard.

Really, my fave month of fall is November, as that's when we hit peak color (3rd - 11th), and the average high drops from 67 degrees to a brisk(ish) 59 degrees by the end - ahhhhhhh - my kind of weather. The golden sun, blue-dome skies, DRY air, and oh-so-wonderful coolness in the morning with all that color...I call it total bliss. That is one time of the year when you'll say "I love it here in Atlanta!" LOL.

Can't wait. Can't ya tell I'm excited?
59 F is perfect for Halloween. A bit too warm for Thanksgiving, but still reasonable.

I am used to 47 F with overcast skies on turkey day, and Halloween is the time with dome blue skies. Atlanta is like CNJ with 2 months of cold replaced by 2 months of heat. So instead of a 5 month winter , you see a 5 month summer .

Nice to see lows hit the teens though in winter. Hope it happens again.

Apparently things have changed and now it could be Summer again this weekend. Feels like things are changing. Could the pattern be changing to a warmer one now???

My bets are on September being above normal here but how much.

Latest Euro showing 90s with Mid-upper 60s Dewpoints on Sunday which means Real Feel Mid Upper 90s near 100°!

Mugginess continues into next week.

Summer not done and looks like now the cool air is being stalled (reversal). We'll see

So we got today, tomorrow Very Warm. Thurday cold front. Normal Friday. Hot Southerly Flow Sat-Sun.

Here's Latest Euro temps and dewpoints for Sunday afternoon. (still 5 days away)

Well, yes, before this ongoing cold spell right now, or the last week in fact.

16.2C now and partly/mostly cloudy. Rained lightly from 9am-1pm all the time.

Thankfully don't think it's possible, or at least hasn't been recorded yet.
Yes, I know, and I mentioned earlier that some parts of Long Island and CT got more rain in a day than we've got all year. Just to put it in perspective.

And of course now, the vegetation has been brought to new life after this rainfall, much needed. And the crickets still dare to come outside, heard them chirping again last evening, though less than earlier.

Meanwhile, still no first air frost in Lapland. Sodankylä (800ft) went down to 0.9C last night and that's the lowest I've seen so far. Even the highest station, Saana at 3300ft, recorded a low of 4.8C last night. No indication of fall foliage either up there.
