Neither. Beijing is better but only marginally. Winters have awesome temperatures but are too dry. Summers are too hot and the wet season should be winter. A little too sunny and winters need to be at least 75% humidity.

Brest is too mild in winter. Summer's are nice though with nice precipitation and wet season is in WINTER. A little too glommy though but better than Beijing sunshine.

Pros

Beijing - Winter Temperatures

Brest - Summer Temperatures, Precipitation

Beijing is a tiny bit better.

Beijing - C+

Brest - C

If Brest only had Beijing's sunshine hours...

Brest has pleasant "summers". But it's too cloudy all year round. Beijing is horribly humid in the summer.

I wouldn't think that by looking at the chart. Most if not all of the southeast US averages 75-80% in August.

Hong Kong is what I'd call horribly humid...

I don't know...30C highs, 70%-ish humidity, 22C lows....That seems very intolerably humid to me.

Yes, Hong Kong is an even worse offender. One of the worst climates in the world for sure, alongside Singapore and Quibdo.

One of the few places where dewpoints would be too high for me. Hanoi seems incredibly muggy as well.

You didn't specify what country so I choose Brest, Belarus https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brest,_Belarus, jk

I know you are referring to France and I choose Bejing, as long as it doesn't come with the air pollution.

Beijing for sunnier winters, warmer averages, and a monsoonal rain pattern.

Beijing. More seasonality though I don't like dryness in winter.

Brest, France: 62.6% / D-
Brest, Belarus: 77.9% / C+
Beijing, China: 52.1% / E-

Surprised to see such a low score for a continental climate? Beijing is a desert for most of the year, with only about four months a year with significant precipitation. If the same 23 inches of precipitation were evenly distributed, Beijing would have a B.
