hey everybody...its cold in the winter (temperatures, 2013, Canada)

Hey wow...it's cild in Minnesota. If I hear how cold it is in Minn., or about the stupid "polar vortex" on thenews again Im going to loose it. Its been cold in the northern part of north america since the begining of time and now all the sudden its the only thing they can talk about. It it was this cold in Flordia then Id be concerned but this begining to get silly. rant over

It's cold in winter...well maybe not in parts of Europe this winter

This winter is turning out to be colder than normal for Midwest US and parts of central Canada.
Exact opposite of 2 years ago, winter 2011-2012 was very mild.
Where I live winter that year was similar to a normal NYC/Philly winter, very mild for us.
This winter starting to feel more like a normal Montreal/Ottawa winter,
I prefer a winter in between, like winter 2012-2013.
I don't like temps much below about -7c / 20F for a high and maybe -10c / 15F as a low.
Any temperatures colder is a real pain
