55 and sunny in Rapid City today. What a great relief to those -10s a few weeks ago!
60 and over tomorrow!
So, ah, Danny, what does Sunday and Monday have in store?
Yesterday almost hit 49. It was 48.6 by the airport at 4m. At 5pm, it was snowing and freezing rain. Today, it's already up to 45. Supposed to hit 50 and like Danny, 60 on Saturday. But it looks like we're going to be shoveling some partly cloudy on Sunday night, Monday.
Okay, 34/18 F sounds like a cold snap, with the high only 2 degrees above freezing, but a high of 45 F and low of 27 F does not sound that cold for Georgia... unless you were on the GA Coast, or close the Florida border. Why did I say that? Because in north GA your daily average high is probably still less than 60 F... and I felt like saying something contradictory, hoping to get a laugh, or at least a grin.
Plus I really don't like cold, we have an abundance of it, and to distract myself from it, I thought it'd be funny to "brag" about it, from the relative comfort of being indoors of course. Also yesterday, I heard so many people complain about the cold. A neighbour of mine I overheard was saying to a friend "...Shut up that it's 70-something where you are; it's minus -100 F here!..."
it is a cold snap in late february, our average temps right now are 59/36, but 45/27 is actually about normal for mid january, and if you read one of my earlier posts, i said it was 18 degrees the same day i said it was 45 outside, isn't 34/18 like right about average right now in Toronto?
I was thinking about you just as I was getting ready to go to work yesterday afternoon. I had TWC on and was halfway listening to it. The announcer was talking about the warmup that was heading for the Atlanta area and she said something like, "That'll be welcome after this cold spell." The reason I found it funny is because I live WAY up here and don't consider your temps too much of a cold spell. But I realize it's chilly compared to what you're used to.
It's springtime here. It shocks me, but supposedly it hit 57 degrees here yesterday. Right now it's already 38 with a windchill of 29.
lol, that's pretty funny., isn't it funny how TWC ALWAYS has to mention something about Atlanta?, i actually find it rather irritating.

it isn't welcome here, actually most people here actually like cold weather, and when there is a warm spell, a lot of wasps and palmetto bugs and sh*t come out.
Not bad at all right now actually. We hit 12 for the high today and we are back down to 0 right now. Supposed to drop another 10 degrees or so and get a bit windy tonight into tomorrow morning. Oh well, winter in the North country, what do we expect I guess.
