It was also 92 Monday. Our weather is truly unpredictable with respect to temperatures. That is what happens when you live in a semi-arid climate.

62 now at 11:30

It was a pleasant 78F in LA today [down from the low 80's the past few days].

-27 this morning with a projected high of 14 for the day. At least the wind is dead calm. Tonight they say -7 with the days getting warmer as the week-end and coming week progresses. Wed is supposed to be upper 30's again.

it IS a cold snap in GA!! on wedensday our day was 34/18, that is a VERY strong cold snap here in GA, but a high of 15F and a low of -2F, has happened here before, though i think in january 1985 we had a day that was 16/-10.

28 degrees here, high of 55 today.

Okay, 34/18 F sounds like a cold snap, with the high only 2 degrees above freezing, but a high of 45 F and low of 27 F does not sound that cold for Georgia... unless you were on the GA Coast, or close the Florida border. Why did I say that? Because in north GA your daily average high is probably still less than 60 F... and I felt like saying something contradictory, hoping to get a laugh, or at least a grin.

Plus I really don't like cold, we have an abundance of it, and to distract myself from it, I thought it'd be funny to "brag" about it, from the relative comfort of being indoors of course. Also yesterday, I heard so many people complain about the cold. A neighbour of mine I overheard was saying to a friend "...Shut up that it's 70-something where you are; it's minus -100 F here!..."

Chicagoland: cloudy this morning, turning partly-sunny by afternoon, high of 33. Got about an inch of snow last night too. Supposed to be 50 by Sunday, we'll see if that holds up.

I was thinking about you just as I was getting ready to go to work yesterday afternoon. I had TWC on and was halfway listening to it. The announcer was talking about the warmup that was heading for the Atlanta area and she said something like, "That'll be welcome after this cold spell." The reason I found it funny is because I live WAY up here and don't consider your temps too much of a cold spell. But I realize it's chilly compared to what you're used to.

It's springtime here. It shocks me, but supposedly it hit 57 degrees here yesterday. Right now it's already 38 with a windchill of 29.
