34° ~ feels like 23° (I believe it after feeling the wind here today. Had just gotten comfortable in Krogers and had to walk out in it again, and i LIKE cool!)
Yesterday at about 2 p.m. it began to sleet, then snow. It stopped in the evening after dropping about 3" around our abode. Then the snow picked up again and dropped another 3" or so overnight.
Seems like small potatoes to northerners, but around here this is an event.
Kids are lamenting this didn't happen during the week for a snow day. Darn it if the forecast isn't for fair and sunny the rest of the week.
Now it is melting with the above freezing temps, but probably mostly the solar warmth since it isn't very much above 32°.

Six inches of snow is too much for me even though I'm a Northerner. They showed parts of Tn. today and I was amazed. They were showing traffic and things weren't going too well. I was wondering if you guys even have much of snow removal equipment. It looked like you have as much snow on the ground as we have since our 5 inch snowfall Friday. Previously, we'd been fortunate enough to be snow-free for a few weeks already.
We're up to 10 above zero and that's probably the high of the day. Our windchill is minus 6.
