It's a whopping minus 12 with a windchill of minus 26 right now. They just showed it on TWC. We're supposed to hit 17 above today and then the warmup is coming.
Someone previously posted that in the Midwest, averages really don't mean anything and I totally agree with that.
Yesterday we hit (catch the 7s ) 17. The average is 37. The record was 67 in 1905.
Our low was minus 9 and our average is 16 and our record was minus 35 in 1962.
PLEASE send some southerly winds this direction. The groundhog proved his point that he knew what he was talking about, but enough already.
Nomadicus, I'm glad to see that you're going to get rain. A huge area near you looks like it's in quite a drought.

Jammie you and neighboring states have been having Alaska weather this year for sure. We are at partly cloudy so can't send any sunshine your way with heat attached sorry. Some of the Texas brothers and sisters will have to do it.
