BE PREPARED FOR A MIX AND SOME VERY SLIPPERY TRAVEL . . . . . NUMEROUS ACCIDENTS ALREADY REPORTED

A storm system will pass through the area today and tonight. This will give us a bit of patchy freezing rain, sleet and snow at times today. We have already seen a few patches that have caused some slippery travel, especially west of I-55. The National Weather Service has most of the area under a Winter Weather Advisory from now until 6 AM tomorrow morning. There is also an Ice Storm Warning in effect for the areas from Grenada westward. This system will be out of the area by the wee hours of tomorrow morning. We will see some clouds linger at times through the day tomorrow. Still with the sunshine at times we will see highs in the upper 40's to low 50's tomorrow.

I really like Northern Maine. I find the old French Canadian style architecture, lakes, and woods to be excellent. Aroostook County is like a world apart compared with many areas of the US.

That is where I am; Aroostook County. Right between Presque Isle and Caribou.

Right now it is -28 at my house in Washburn. Presque Isle has -22. It is going to get up to 13 today the weather guys say. Tonight is going to be another -20+ night they say, but that will change 15 times today, so we'll see what tonight brings when it gets here.

Wow. Congratulations!!!

Sorry to ruin your moment, but it's currently 64* here and not one cloud over my house. Sadly, tonight will be pretty much a hurricane with heavier rain and stronger winds than that night with the tornado warnings. Then tomorrow it will only be in the 50's and there will be thunderstorms. If we do get thunderstorms, it will be the first in a long time.

Jesse, I'd love to have your weather, but your temps don't get high enough in the summertime for me. And besides, I could never afford to live in Cali. You guys have sure been having storms over there this winter though.

Unfortunately, we have another cold front moving in starting next Tues.
