Tutiempo shows that some winter months can have 3-5 occurrences in a month. Some may just be hail/rain combos though but it is the mild sea temperatures and cold air moving over the top that creates the instability for these convective events.

No My ideal location is Bundaberg, Queensland - that's my dream place to live... And my Bro lives in Brisbane! Lucky tw*t! LOL
What's your favorite climate? Somewhere like Chicago, although Serres looks pretty seasonal?
Hahaha nice places you chose but I don 't like their climate! My favourite city of its climate is Cleveland Ohio, Chicago, New York! Cities that have nice sunshine hours, enough precipitation, cold and snowy winters and warm or hot summers with occasional thunderstorms. Serres has litte precipitation and I dislike it. I would prefer the climate of mountainous areas in Serres that have enough snow and cold in winter and warm but not hot summers with cool nights and nice precipitation. For example Lailias village at about 1500 m elevation has cold and snowy winters in Serres region. In August 2012 for example a very hot month one day my city had 43 C and the same day Lailias had 29 C. :P Or in January 2012 one day Lailias had -14 C - -9C temperature range and Serres had -8 C - 3,5 C the same day. :P

I voted kirkwall due to less rain. Both are absolutely horrid.
