Moscow is located on quite high latitude, so days in autumn and winter are short there. Percent of possible sunshine is not extraordinary low there, I suppose.

I prefer the anchor seasons to be warmer, so I pick Austin.

Austin for me, as it has pleasant temperatures and good sunshine, although I did expect its Novembers to be sunnier than they are.

I do. I love colder winters, but I only want 3 months of it. November is still autumn, and personally I find our November's too cool. Same goes for March. I prefer a quicker recovery. Nothing is worse then "limbo" weather (5-13C)....

In then end, I am more of a warm weather lover than a colder weather lover.

Check out this recovery between March and April!

Yes but it's physically impossible to have a cold winter with a November like Austin. Realistically for a place to have cold winters and hot summers the average high in November is likely to be below about 53 F or so.

I know that, but that doesn't mean I have to like temps around 53 degrees. IMO that's lame weather.
