Autumn started very suddenly this September.

1st - 10th: Average high = 18.8°C / 65°F
11th - 29th: Average high = 12.5°C / 55°F (!!!!)

Yep, the first ten days here were averaging midsummerish 23-24C highs but since the 11th it has actually been slightly colder than October 2011.

I won't call it classic autumn weather. I'm enjoying the cloudiness for the variety. Nice moody weather once in a while.

I was considered going up to the White Mtns this weekend, but the decided against because of the weather.

Well I guess there are a few types of "classic autumn weather", but of course it's subjective. Overcast and damp...overcast and cold...crisp and sunny, etc.

I'm going to take a short hike today.

We're still having our summer here in Northern Fla. We really don't have much of a winter, just a mild autumn, and then spring again.

Of course as soon as the cool temperatures come I start feeling sick... 61 F at 4:07 PM, the sun came out about an hour ago, would prefer it to be a little warmer but 61 is fine with me.
