He admits the heat was stronger than he had thought. He mentions when U.S is hot the globe cools, when U.S is cold, the globe warms.

Good, this might mean that the US can cool off and all the heat comes my way.

This is Joe Bastardi we're talking about - when he talks cold, expect heat, when he talks heat, expect cold. And yet he's never, ever wrong about the weather...

Well, there isn't exactly a negative correlation between the U.S. and the rest of the world. I've seen times when the U.S. was in lockstep with the rest of the world. It only hasn't since last November, which is quite a long time, when the rest of the globe has been rather cool or at least close to normal while the U.S. bakes.

Yeah its the first time I heard a U.S / Globe correlation but there's always a first with JB. LOL We all know many times when U.S is cool, Europe is warm and vise vera. Thats just because of how the Jet dips and gets displaced but to say the entire planet is related is stretching it. Who knows. All I know is, U.S looks like Iraq with the temperatures lately. Its pretty crazy.

I'm just clutching at straws that some heat might make its way to the UK this year.
