The normally wet places in the north and west of Scotland were unusually dry.
What's the wettest month on record in London?

Instead of posting data, im gonna say something about April in BA. I need a rant.

Until this april, i thought april was my favourite month of the year weather-wise, or at least my favourite alongside May. I think it was the psicological factor that got me confused (with this i mean that i completely LOATHE summer and april basically means summer temps are totally over and winter is coming and how can i not love that??), but i realized theres NO WAY april fits my desired temperature paramaters like May, and even June/jul/aug/sept do. April, even when its still a lovely month cause summer really is over (you can say byebye for good to 30 celsius nights in april and more than 30c days) is still very warm. Averages are 14/24 or so, and, even when this is a comfortable temperature range (for the summer, for example) its not what I enjoy the most. But the problem is that BA is not stable, and for example, this april was warmer than average till the 21th. We had a lot of 27/28 celsius days and 22/23 celsius night! IMAGINE after being warm since october how i HATED that kind of weather! I spent till the 21th HATING april weather and begging for some "cool" weather, at least some 13 celsius nights or some 19 celsius maximums. And around the 22th, a cold spell started and temps were around 8 celsius at night and 14/15max max. We even had a 7 celsiu night, and 5 celsius mornings! Now, thats well below average, thats actually winter weather! so, even when i love those numbers, i was looking more of a transition period of 10/15 c nights and around 18 c days, JUST LIKE MAY TEMPERATURES (averages in may are 10/18c). But we didnt get the transition: we went straight from very warm (actually, the 21th temp was 28 celsius, so we could say HOT) to COLD (5 celsius nights). And that can screw with your health. I ended up with a cold. And missing the transition temps.

We are getting those temps now in May, so May is new my completely number one month, and i realized i overrated april cause of the psicological factor. April is still very warm and kind of annoying, tbh.

While May.....May is awesome.

HAPPY MAY EVERYONE

I have a similar view of September here. It's better than summer, but can be annoyingly warm for a good portion of the month.

Now, the numbers:

Average high: 21c
Average low: 15c
Highest high: 28 c
Highest low: 19c ()
Lowest high: 12c
Lowest low: 8c

Numbers show how april ended up below average in highs (probably cause the last week cold spell) but still ended above average in lows. No wonder what i hated the most about april were the hot nights. Really, most nights in the 20s....i didnt signed up for that when april started.

WOW, 2 things

1)april first 21 days were warmer than i thought, specially on the highs. It was basically a summer month, not a BA summer, but it had proper summer temperatures. And the cool down was indeed brutal. It went from 28 celsius to 4 celsius in like two days!!!

2) wunderground data continues to be wrong about BA all the time!!
