Usually November here is snowless, but the rainy and very gloomy month with temperatures in recent years higher than normal (normal is +3C or +5 C during the day and -2C or -4C at night). But this year the weather is completely different than I've seen for many years, in this November permanent snow appeared at the beginning of the month (usually permanent snow appear here is the beginning or middle of December, in last year it was December 31) and here were many clear days with frosty weather, the minimum temperature was -15 C, it is very cold and not typical for November in my town.

wow, those are really cold temps!

This would be preferable! Dry sunny and mild (days) with coolish nights would be fine.

November started off really cold, about 17 degrees below normal because of a cold front that came in on November 2nd with about 6½ inches of snow. After that it seemed more like October than November with plenty of sun and highs mainly in the 50s and 60s. Nights however were more seasonal in the 20s. All in all, we had 6 cold fronts come through (though mostly dry fronts) that helped the temps finish the month close to average.

Summary: Slightly above average temps, above average precip and snow totatl to date: 14½ inches. Normal snow to date: 16.9 inches.

Very low diurnal range... and not surprisingly very cloudy.

A lot of the temp measurements were from my back garden (where my Davis vantage pro is) and it has a tendency to over read minimum temperatures. So for December I'm using minimum temperatures from a nearby more exposed weather station (Harpur Hill) while using maximums from my own station as this seems more "realistic" with regards to temperature range.

I've just done a cross check with another two weather stations near me at my elevation and found my average minimum temperature for November was way out, over 1°C too warm, which would explain this. Maybe because my back garden isn't exposed enough

Edit: Seems like I may have been recorded min temperatures incorrectly and I have gone through the "data history" in my weather station, compared with another local station and corrected some values, new average min is 6.1°C, still a bit high but closer to reality.
