I know, I saw pictures from towns to the east and I was shocked, looked like Winter.

We didn't see any snow at all but I had the pleasure of being beamed with ice pellets (I'm assuming it was light sleet being launched by high winds) for 30 minutes waiting for the bus.

Still no frost.

Another frost coming to buxton tonight, would be about our 7th or 8th ground frost this winter.

It must have been only a few degrees above freezing and it must have been really wet snow. I can't see how the snow can accumulate unless the ground was below freezing.

I assume it didn't accumulate; melted by the time it hit the ground

I heard on the radio this morning that there may be some arctic air plunging into the US about a week before Thanksgiving. One can only hope.

Only if it brings snow, if it's just plain cold then I'd dislike it even more. Although it'd be too early for snow imo. The in-between weather is very boring, highs in the 50's and lows in the 40's. I like that it's not coat weather but it's still not nice (it could be worse though). Winter usually comes when I least expect it, it'll get cold out of nowhere then a warm up will come and then it'll get cold again and that'll be all she wrote for Fall. I'm not wishing for an early-Winter at all (I hope it doesn't come at all) but it's pretty boring right now.

I'm looking forward to the 60's though.

I miss Summer.

It was around 40 degrees.

I kept hearing it was snowing from people in different areas but luckily it was a rain/sleet mix here.

I think the lowest temperature we had this month was 38 degrees.

Extended forecast looks wet with some ice and snow for my area, although the accuracy of those forecasts should be taken with a grain of salt.

I find 50s very comfortable. This has been a great autumn.
