On the way up to Mt Baker ski area it drizzled a bit, then the sun came out. I had a feeling there would be a rainbow somewhere in the area, but I didn't expect it to be this spectacular! After the rainbow faded Mt Shuksan started to come out from behind its clouds, which was beautiful.

Finally. up at the ski area the snow is still quite deep. I'd like to go back in the summer eventually, but the snow gave the area a sort of dream-like quality. First time I'd ever seen snow anywhere near that deep.

You're gonna flip when you see what's available in the summer once Artist Point opens up. Great pics as always. I've been waiting to see your take on things up there once you made it.

Thanks! I really hope to go back maybe in late summer when the snow should be at a minimum.

Yesterday we had amazing weather here, so I took a bike ride halfway around Lake Whatcom. Met up with a coworker at Bloedel Donovan Park and she rode with me from there to the end of North Shore Road, then we continued on the North Shore trail until it ended. She ended up riding about 19 miles with me, and since I had to ride all the way back to Fairhaven my mileage totaled about 37.5. Much farther than I expected!
