On clear days you can see it from higher elevations, or from an area where the view isn't blocked by a hill. (You can see it from sea level at Alki Beach, for example, as there is an unimpeded view on clear days).

There's a great view of it from the I-5/exit 189 interchange too (WA-526/WA-527, in Everett). It kind of just peeks over everything else, right at you.

I've seen Mt Rainier from Bellingham Bay, but juuuust barely. I can see the Olympic Range pretty easily from here on a clear day, but of course they're closer.

Well, looks like I'll be headed to the Arboretum on Tuesday to see all the fall colors! Last time I was there was still winter so it was much less exciting to walk around.
