Perfect weather. 50s at night, 70s during the day. Come visit western WA this time of year if you want to see the mountains and water in all their glory with clear skies. There may be a marine layer of clouds before noon (near the water) some days, but that burns off.

I just returned from a trip to Charleston, SC this week which was hot and humid. Meanwhile, the weather in Vancouver has been in the low 80s which isn't bad at all for mid-summer. It's nice to be home.

The mid-day temps and sunshine have been perfect (aside from Monday's rain, which was great), but lately, mornings have had clouds that don't burn off until noon. I guess I was expecting the weather patterns we're having now earlier in summer since we didn't really have much variety (it was straight sunshine and warm temps from early June up until earlier this week). Either way, I'll take it!

Wish I could trade you. I got used to summer clouds/fog like that while living in Monterey which would burn off most afternoons. It's like nature's A/C which is great for outdoor activities such as hiking, running, paddling, etc... We used to hike through and then above the fog in coastal mountains of Big Sur which was always fun to watch as it burned off.

The weather has been very nice.
It does seem like the Monterey mornings I used to love.
Marine fog bank with some clouds in the morning and sunny skies in the afternoon.

I say some folks waterskiing this morning in Sequim Bay
And saw people swimming in lake Leland yesterday.

The salmon are running right off of a secret beach too.

The morning clouds burning off around noon are very typical for summer and more common than all day sunshine. That's what we've got too.

I think that's where Vancouver WA differs being more off the coast. Since places like Seattle, Bellingham and Sequim are right on the Sound, it creates more of the coastal climate feel. Though its not as cool as the actual WA coastline since there is still some land and mountains blocking part of that Pacific weather pattern right off the ocean.

I honestly prefer that coastal type weather during summer months growing up along the coast albeit further south. By contrast, others may prefer summer sun from morning until night. That's what its like here which isn't bad as long as it's cooler during morning hours. Still, I prefer some clouds mixed into my day if possible.

It was another beautiful, sunny summer morning in Vancouver starting out in the 60s with peak temps in the upper 70s by the later afternoon. Not bad at all for the end of July when its much hotter elsewhere. The water lilies still going strong. I love these flowers and don't think I'll ever grow tired of them.

The weather is warming up into the upper 80s in Vancouver. But morning are still very comfortable in the upper 60s/ low 70s. It was a nice morning on the lake. And the super moon was big and bright and sunrise and sunset.
