We've only got rain in Vancouver since its in the 40s today. Temps are supposed to drop tomorrow and more Thursday which is our first chance for the white stuff.

I never really feared just getting stuck it was the sliding off the road and not really having any brakes that bothered me.
There was 6-9 inches and building up a bit west of PA with no sign of letting up any time soon.

This is our yard early morn and a bit after sunrise.
Wow, that's some good snow buildup. You may actually have snow left for Christmas. I guess it depends if its cold enough to stick around over the week.

We've around a foot in Bellingham, but we are in a micro-climate that gets a bit more snow accumulation than most.
It's up to the step bars on the 4x4.

On the north OP it's snow & more snow. It's about a foot & still snowing. The snow is drier & more powdery than usual.

Staying home today. Currently 26F, with a thin layer of fresh snow over 2" of packed ice on the roads. The city has not plowed or treated since schools are closed. I had trouble staying upright just walking out to the mailbox last night, it was so slippery.

It was in the low 20s this morning and the old snow is packed into ice on paths and roads, everything frozen. The old snow is still there and we got a dusting on top of that. The good thing- finally the sun came out. It's not providing warmth, but it's nice to see.

We've actually had really nice winter weather today in Vancouver. I think its the warmest in the state reaching the low 40s. No snow yet either. I enjoyed the sun on a walk. Here are a few pics from the day.

I was on the far west side of the peninsula today and it was a chilly 19 degrees at 2:00pm.

With this cold rain due ice will build up on cars.
My friends are telling me to put a tarp over my windshield and front doors of my CR-V to protect the rubber door gaskets and windshield from thick ice.
I never thought about that but it makes a lot of sense.
