Does anybody have any information or any guess as to what kind of numbers we're likely to see on the pro-illegal immigration protest this Sunday (March 21st)? I understand that supporters are being bussed in from all over the U.S.
I live right off the National Mall and have a close friend coming to stay with me this weekend. I'm wondering if I should plan to be out town that day or maybe just stay indoors.
Also, if we get a large turnout on Sunday, should we expect a ton of sightseers on Saturday as well?
Yes, as in "We're in your country illegally and we demand amnesty NOW!".
I'm not certain that qualifies as "pro illegal immigration" any more than needle exchange programs qualify as "pro heroin".
Besides, we get rallies on the Mall all the time. If you live near the mall, you should know that and be used to it. I doubt this will be any more significant than the other rallies that occur there.

Thanks, I expect this is the case as it normally is. However I was just concerned about the numbers - if even one-tenth of illegal population in the U.S. turns up to protest (unlikely), it's going to be Inauguration Day all over again.
Did you just move here or something? A hundred thousand gets absorbed pretty easily. These things happen all the time. If you fled town every time you'd never be here! I guess if you really do live *right* next to the mall it would be a little inconvenient, but outside that area these events are hardly even noticed by people who live here. Crowds the size of the Obama inauguration are very few and far between.
At least they're not calling it the "Million Migrant March".
