I don't agree with what the Tea Party stands for now (it started off somewhat admirably but has been morphed into an ultra-neo-conservative madhouse led by Beck and Palin) but this might as well be called the Rally for Apathy.
I would absolutely love to go--except I'm stuck all the way up here in Michigan. I'm trying to find friends to go with me (and I do have a couple friends near the D.C. area), but getting from here to there is going to be difficult.

Same here. The Tea Party used to be Libertarians, now its Republicans in sheep clothing. Its making me even more politically homeless

I hope you realize it's satirical in the best tradition of Stewart and Colbert. Nevertheless, given the radicalization of politics over the past several years, and the hyper-radicalization of the right-wing since that Muslim ( ) took the helm, finding a sane middle ground of reasonable discourse is far from apathetic. It may be our only hope.
