I will be working at NIH in Bethesda. Where are some good areas to live? I have 3 school aged kids.

Rockville MD is a good area to rent an apartment. Although, in general...you are in a more expensive neighborhood. If you don't mind a little drive, check out Wheaton MD as well.

There are lots of possibilities, but useful suggestions will depend on your housing budget and what sort of commute you're willing to tolerate.

Id live in bethesda if you are making a decent salary and don't want to drive. Its on the metro and accessible to DC easily to go out.

If you want to save some money, Rockville has plenty of affordable options but traffic in the area is pretty bad during rush hour.

It really depends on your budget and whether you like to druve everywhere or not.
