Where do young and single blacks who aren't at the professional level reside? In other words, where will you find your aged 21-30 college students or working class folks who aren't necessarily affluent? Is it possible to find this in the city proper?

That's a tough one, because all of the areas I can think of are either the hood or in the suburbs.

Everywhere in DC. 21-30 aged black college students? Check
Working class black folk? check

They are practically everywhere in DC and the Surrounding areas. Excluding Potomac, Chevy Chase and Arlington.

Here's how you find some: Get on a Metro. Walk outside.

First places that come to mind for me: All of Ward 5 and parts of Ward 1... In PG County in places like Suitland, Temple Hills, Landover, Largo... In VA in parts of Alexandria, Woodbridge...

Mostly PG County, Hyattsville, Bowie, Largo, Suitland, in DC it's in SW, upper NW, and RI Ave/Brookland, and places like Alexandria and Fairfax, VA. Most tend to gravitate there because these areas because they can get more bang for their buck and the neighborhoods are relatively safe when you compare them to areas in far NE and SE.
