Hello: Today I was riding a WMATA bus. I used mobile trip planner and requested stop by using the yellow pull signal at the stop on the route. The bus driver refused to stop. She insisted that wasn't her stop. I just checked "Next Bus" for that route and the bus is being tracked to go by and stop there, if someone is there waiting.

I would like to report the bus driver but I don't want to sound like a passenger complaining about nothing. Either the WMATA mobile Next Bus routes and stops are incorrect or the bus driver refused to stop when a passenger requested a stop at a designated stop.

What is the most effective way to report this incident? She let me off at the next stop, which was quite a distance away. I ended up just walking back instead of taking the bus. She kept insisting "That's not one of my stops."

Were you on an express bus? On my street 4 different routes run down the street. Not all routes stop at all stops.

I rode metrobus daily for many years. When you experience any wrong behavior by a driver, always make a note of the 4-digit vehicle number and include it in your complaint to WMATA so that the driver can be positively identified. Periodically I would experience repeated chronic problems, such as busses bunching-up in caravans of 3, 4, or 5 busses closely together followed by long intervals of 20 - 30 minutes without service. When this happened, I would write down the offending vehicle numbers and write to WMATA and shortly afterward I would notice WMATA employees "checkers" standing with clipboards taking notes to verify my complaints.
