Be careful out there. Today it's clothes, tomorrow it's your wallet or worse.

It's a growing threat for D.C. businesses from Georgetown to Dupont Circle - mobs of teenagers who rush in together and rush out with thousands of dollars of store merchandise.

It happened Monday at the G-Star Raw store in the 1600 block of Connecticut Avenue, NW. The store's surveillance cameras captured pictures of about 19 teenagers coming in all at once, and making a beeline for the high-end denim fashion and menswear.

...eh, shoplifting. Happens every day, every where. Maybe the store owner will get some decent security for his or herself. What next, Fear Mongerer?

Jesus, 19 kids? I would have never had the balls, as a teen or now. Then again, I would never think of getting a group of friends together to go rob a store...

Shoplifting? I think you have a couple screws loose if a mob of 19 folks runs into a store and grabs everything in sight is merely shoplifting.

And the only thing negative you have to say is towards the shop owners and the OP? Glad to know who's side you are on....

It's time for these owners to get a strap. If they want to push people out of the door way, show them who's boss. I guarantee you they won't come back!

Way off here Roz. I can see these 19 kids laughing it up (maybe even their parents). Then maybe next time they'll try something a little more criminal and something bad will happen.

Yep. It's the inflation of ego where if you commit a crime and don't get caught, you're more likely to do it again because your sense of ability to not get caught is heightened.

I can imagine if the store owner was packing and fired into the throng of wild hooligans, the headlines would read "STORE OWNER MURDERS INNOCENT MISGUIDED TEENS"

He would get arrested. The last licensed DC gun dealer has closed shop he said he maybe back. Federal law prohibits buying a gun in another state and bringing it to DC. So essentially DC residents can no longer arm themselves going forward.
