I've always heard 1/4, 1/3 is for those who want to stretch things. Remember you have to adjust for extra metro card and cab money so the car/gas savings is not that great as you presume. In most parts of Ward 3, parts of G'town and Mt. Pleasant, and around Catholic U. you still need a car. Also isn't the income tax rate in DC higher than MD or VA?

I was referring more to listening to someone who hasn't been here in 10 years, if ever, and doesn't know the first thing about the city or its neigborhoods, but who insists on leaving steaming piles of bull**** all over the forum for people to step in.
