Rutland is a cultureless town, not even fit to be called a city. The schools are horrible, teachers not caring about anything. I don't think they would noticed if the school burned down while they were in the building. The idea of a exciting night on the town is going to MacDonalds and renting a movie from Blockbuster. There are barely any stores, and when mainstream stores do come, the employees either don't care about the customers or don't have the mental abilty to think properly. Granted, Vermont is beautiful, buts thats all it is. The skiing is excellent, Killington being rated among the top ski resorts. But beauty and skiing just doesn't cut it. There also is no job market. Any young adults with any sense would leave, just because there are two job choices: Work at Wal-Mart, or bag grocerys at Grand Union. I think this video on youtube sums up Rutland very nicely.

Default Vermont Gitmo

^^^ Ha Ha.......Couldnt agree more !
Dispair not, my R0tland neighbors....Your dearth of
kulture should end soon......the weather is
warming up so soon you can get your entertainment by
watching an actual episode of COPS outside of any
liquor serving establishment at around 10:00pm or the
fun and hilarity that ensues when the young 'hoodchucks
start lighting all the dumpsters on fire.
We have been paroled and as soon as our house sells, leaving.
Theres room in our car if any of you want to come along, but I
will have to ask for some toll money for the Thruway because
we spent all of ours trying to live here and pay taxes .

Default Something I forgot - Movie theaters

Here is another little tidbit I forgot. The movie theater, Movieplex 9. More like Lameoplex 9. The screens are tiny. The employees are mentaly incapible to operate a cash register, let alone a projector. Oh and if you want to see a movie in the winter, better bring your coat, or hope that the theater is packed, its cold in there.

That whole complex scares me....Ive never been in that theatre.
The little theatre in West Rutland by the Price Chopper had a
series of indy films by Vermont filmakers last year that was really
good. Q & A sessions with the creaters followed the films !
Maybe you might want to check and see if they are doing it this
year, too ?
