I processed most of the harvest this weekend but still a lot out there I'd love to get to...just needs a few more days of growing!
I hear ya, when you have a crop you tend to watch and remember the weather more. I'll never forget harvesting stuff in mid October one year.. That was nuts. I believe that was 2007 or 2010. Typically by end of September I'm pulling everything. I got 1 more pepper and tomato harvest (still green) I think.

You might have till Friday morning unless you find a way to protect them. Sunday warm.

20s would kill but freezing might just damage so you might get lucky. We'll see.

Morning. Temps ranging from low 40s to 50s across the state this morning.

Here's the Current Alerts Map. Frost upgraded to freeze now for tonight.

Protect those plants tonight best you can, I do see a warming trend after this so if you can get them to survive through this freeze they could last till end of September maybe..

NWS Burlington says The Freeze for parts of Vermont/NY is 1-2 weeks early. Also note.. dewpoints in the 30s and the dry air above is going to truly make it feel cold.

Did you cover everything? There's a rollercoaster ride coming so we'll get warm after this but then cold again, then warm.

Near record tonight from Meteo Mike Page.

I just covered the eggplant and peppers...the rest is mostly done and if the zucchini doesn't make it, I'll get by with all the ones I have sitting on the counter lol.

This is just crazy crazy weather!

Check out Burlington's Sounding right now according to RAP model.. It's below freezing at 4500 feet above Burlington right now.

Actual Surface at 6pm is 54F. 850mb is -1.3C.

Start from the bottom using the red line like your facing up into the sky. It keeps dropping as you go up in height. Then it warms a little above 5000 feet and drops back down at 10,000 feet.

Use link to see other areas and time periods.

8pm already 41 in Montpelier.
42 Morrisville
43 Newport

Actually at the lows of the day so the lows will be made after sundown instead of before today.

Mount Washington Windchil is 5° with freezing fog and light icing.

I wonder if Mansfield or Jaypeak will see flakes. Airmass to dry though

6:15am temps. Freezing fog in Montpelier & Morrisville VT.

Wind chills into the 30s down to Albany and S Mass but no wind chill values reported in Vermont. That's because there's no wind which allowed the drop in temps.

Rutland reporting overcast which didn't allow a drop to freezing.

Newport and Highgate have the lowest temp so far at 29°. What do you guys have?

30 and a lot of fog here in waterbury center...fog just rolled in though - about ten minutes ago I could see clear to camels hump (though there was low lying fog above a lot of the trees across the way at that time too).
