Thanks so much!

Here is what I found:

For Montpelier/Barre, in 2013/2014
Number of days <= 5F for the low:
November: 1
December: 11
January: 17
February: 15
March: 17
Total: 61

This is for Rochester (Waitsfield did not work):
November: 3
December: 10
January: 20
February: 11
March: 16
Total: 60

A couple other observations for Rochester:
60 days with min temps below or equal to 5F (from above)
15 days where the avg temp is below or equal to 5F.
1 day where the max temp is below or equal to 5F.

Good stuff! I love data/stats like that. Waitsfield is an automatic OBS station so it's not manned or checked on when data is missing. I realy wish we had so many more stations than we have out there.

Wow so 60 days? Interesting Rochester had more in November and January.

I only had 4 days with lows of 5° or less. I was hoping for more. lol But believe it or not we're having issues with landscaping down here. Lots of stuff died or got damaged. My fig tree, holly tree and even some tulips didn't even want to come out.

NWS Burlington talking about microbursts. Sometimes the damage or the sound from it can look like a tornado but its different.

If you get a chance Google images of microbursts. Pretty interesting to see from an aerial perspective how a storm pushes everything down to surface and creates some intense winds.

NWS Albany and Upton's minimum temp forecast for tonight. Cover any sensitive plants if you have to.

I got all my veggies in the ground this weekend. Expecting low 40s but too close for comfort!

Frost advisory out for southern VT. Could be patchy elsewhere. Chilly airmass tonight so protect those sensitive plants.

Did any mountains in Vermont get snow?

Mt Washington,NH with fresh 6.9" of snow yesterday making it 19.9" for the month which is above the 12.2" normal.

327" for the season which is above the 281" normal.

"After spending all of yesterday in the clouds with over 6 inches of snow falling, sunrise this morning revealed a beautiful view of the freshly fallen snow over the Northern Presidentials. Happy Tuesday!"
